about us Zenith Cleaners was founded May 2004. Tolulope, one of the co-founders of Zenith Cleaners
started the company while he was studying for his MBA at McGill University, Montreal. our way of being At Zenith Cleaners, we have certain guiding principles that inform how we work and relate with others. We are far from perfect but we are constantly guided by these principles. At Zenith Cleaners, we believe business has everything to do with flesh and blood, living individuals and we want to show concern and appreciation for people not because it brings us more business, but because we think the primary need of everyone is to be loved, appreciated and understood. At Zenith Cleaners, we do not believe in doing our business in a way that harms people and then “give to worthy social or environmental causes”. We think that to be authentic, we must genuinely care for everyone we interact with while conducting our business, not just at the end of the day when business (or damage) is done. We do this because it is right, not because it is expected of us by regulation or society. How do we translate our aspiration to love into action? We use healthy cleaning products as well as environmentally friendly cleaning tools and processes We give clients and staff the freedom to disengage at any time they choose. We hold ourselves to and we permit our clients to hold us to high standards of excellence and integrity. We believe that when we clean, we should do it with no less a commitment to excellence than Michelangelo had in his painting or Shakespeare had in his poetry. For us excellence is an expression of love. We take into consideration the fact that our suppliers are flesh and blood people who need to be paid on time. We care for our staff in every way that we have the privilege to We treat our clients like we want to be treated – with respect while appreciating and communicating with them constantly. We endeavor to give our staff an increasing level of flexibility – they have a choice of when they want to work, where they want to work and which clients they want to work with. We are honest in our dealings with clients, staff and other stakeholders. We ensure that we are financially sustainable by engaging in sound financial management freedom Our idea of freedom flowing out of love, merits expounding because it is central to our way of being. At Zenith Cleaners, freedom means no prospective client is under any pressure to do business with us. It also means we are not under pressure to develop a relationship with a client. At Zenith Cleaners, freedom means our clients are free to disengage from us at will. It also means the freedom to disengage from clients when we need to. At Zenith Cleaners, freedom means that our staff can leave when they need to and are under no subtle pressure to stay if it is in their best interest to leave. It also means that we are free to inform our staff that there is a need to disengage, when it is in Zenith Cleaners’ best interest to do so. At Zenith Cleaners, freedom means that feedback and constructive criticism can flow freely in all directions and from clients, staff and other stakeholders. At Zenith Cleaners, freedom means that our way of being, doing business with and relating with all stakeholders is our choice and is not influenced by the need to keep or attract clients or staff. |
